I think that this blog post best
exemplifies my ability to analyze complex characters. I think that when I say:
"The author is clearly trying to touch the reader and seal an emotional
bond to the character David" that I am showing a description of how the
author describes himself in the character, (mainly because he is the
character.) this meets the expectations of the rubric by showing my
understanding of the connection between the author’s feelings and the
character's feelings
Choice 1: The goals I have for
myself for next trimester for reading are: to continue with the series of a
child called it and to start a new series of fiction books. I also plan on
reading a fault in our stars as Michelle had suggested I do. The goals I have
for writing: to keep writing short poems that link to the books I’m reading, to
help me better understand them. My areas of improvement of both my reading and
writing would be linking them together, that is why it is in my goal to get
better at that, and to continue practicing.
Choice 2: One thing I struggled
through this was finding a link between my reading and writing. I overcame this
by practicing and working more efficient. A strength I had to my blogging was
my high interest level of the things I was reading. A post that best shows this
strength would be:
